Wisconsin Community Services, Inc. (WCS) has announced an exciting employment opportunity for a Parent Peer Specialist (Wraparound) with the goal of supporting parents and caregivers of youth enrolled in the Wraparound Milwaukee program.
Based in Milwaukee, WI, the wraparound role involves utilizing unique personal experiences as parents of children with significant mental health, substance use, co-occurring, and life needs to provide hope and support to parents and caregivers currently enrolled in the Wraparound program .
The Parent Peer Specialist will be tasked with providing individual support to parents and caregivers in a variety of community settings, including home visits. Additionally, they will work closely with families to reduce crisis triggers, provide education and support during crises, and identify sustainable support networks in the community.
