International students of the Theology course unite with the academic and missionary community to help families of course colleagues who suffer from tragedy

Amid the devastation caused by the floods that devastated Rio Grande do Sul in May 2024, the university community is mobilizing to help the family of a student, who was terribly affected by the tragedy.

The initiative aims to offer initial support to the families of university students, and, subsequently, extend support to more families.

“Families of several colleagues here on the course lost everything!”, laments the organizing team. In view of this, the students team up with the Living Water Ministry and CommunityX360 missionary communities, where together they join efforts to provide emergency aid, prioritizing the students' families.

To contribute to the family of one of the students, a fundraising campaign was created on GoFundMe.

In the coming days, the organizing committee of the action will inform the means and channels of paid donations to help more families,
say those responsible for the action.

Solidarity and unity in difficult times like this are essential to help those who need it most.

Everyone involved in the action: students, faculty and missionary organizations join forces to make a difference and offer support to victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
